Although both
1-bedroom cottages are under the same roof, they each have their
own entrance on opposite sides of a closed porch, the walls have
been soundproofed, and each is a complete self-contained cottage.
Both have open concept living/dining rooms with fully equipped
kitchens but they have quite different features.
The smaller cottage
is about 325 sq ft
and is perfect for a couple. The kitchen has fridge, stove, microwave,
coffee maker, toaster, and a small kitchen table with two chairs.
The cozy living room has cable TV, (VCR on request) and is finished
in warm tongue and groove pine.
This is also the only
cottage on the property
to feature a soothing jacuzzi tub in
its spacious 4- piece bathroom. Outside the front door is a 10
ft X 8 ft deck with picnic table, propane barbecue and firepit
surrounded by towering mature pine and spruce trees. From the
deck there is a gentle grassy slope through the pines down to
the beach.
The larger 1-bedroom
cottage
is about 475 sq ft
and features a very large kitchen/dining/living
space capable
of accommodating a small family.The bedroom is large enough for
a double as well as single bed and the living room includes a
full-sized chesterfield as well as a pullout couch, cable TV, and a DVD player.
Outside
the front door is a small covered deck
furnished with lawn chairs
and a propane barbecue overlooking a flower garden.
As with all
the cottages at Kashaga Lodge, there is a picnic table and firepit
stocked with dry firewood.
Besides a deck, each
cottage has its own large private space for kids or pets to play
or even pitch a tent for the kids to sleep in.
